Rosh Hashana

We were very excited today to learn all about the Jewish New Year. We learnt how the moon cycles tell us when the New Year is and some of the things that are done to celebrate the festival. Lots of tasty food, such as apples and honey, is eaten and people get together to celebrate. We were excited to also hear the 'Shofar' this is an instrument that is blown to wake us up for the New Year! Here is one of our very talented students showing her talents off!

What a week!

We have had a great week in Room 2. We began on Monday with a circle time...we had fun telling each other our marvellous qualities and sharing our Monday morning feelings...

On Tuesday it was Kapa Haka - Here we are learning a new song, that we later performed to the seniors!

This week we have been sharing our news. It was the first week that we have had a 'news topic' to talk about. We all spoke about our Mum.  We found out that our Mum's like lots of the same things (can you guess what that was!?) We used our "Strong Speaking Elephant" voices.
On Thursday we learned how to use Math's Whizz. It is very exciting and we are looking forward to using it in class next week.
